An order moves through a state machine, and the balance deduction is written only at delivery, inside the same transaction as the status change — a half-finished delivery never takes money with it. Businesses top up a prepaid balance, may go negative up to a defined limit, and orders beyond it are refused. Courier location comes from a native service that keeps running on a locked screen.
