An extension that keeps a video player running in a background tab, deliberately kept minimal for stability.
Browser throttling of background tabs was stalling the player mid-video. Two speculative fixes were tried and both reverted for destabilising playback; the remaining solution was deliberately limited to redefining visibility signals. Less intervention, more stability.
